Hey man, I like your gallery.
:iconjesse-flip:
Wow buddy, you've got some really good stuff on here!
:iconieatmoon:
Conflicting opinions!

There are two types of art: good art and bad art. People have their opinions of bad art and people of their opinions of good art. This is why there is conflict; because the lack of sincerety in other people's art, according to other people's opinions.

Quite personally, I think art should be raw as can be. It should come from raw thought and captured in some raw way. No, I do not think editing other people's photographs on a computer program is very good art. No, I do not think this site should be used for prodominent social interaction. I can understand how people who put their soul into their art (wether it is a quick photograph or tedius poem) can get very irratated. God knows I get irratated! These people do not want false artists parading around pretending their artists, wether they do this knowingly or subconsciously, simply because it takes away the attention that is geared to sincere art.

I can not logically explain the difference between good art and bad art, but I feel the difference. You can really tell when art is flacid, whinny, masked or disguised. The only thing I know for sure is that a computer is the wrong tool to created a messege. I do not care how pretty it looks or how well a perosn used the program, if I feel nothing when I see, then it means nothing.

To clear up some things. Yes, I use a computer to post poetry, but I do need the computer to actually write it. Do you see why there is the conflict?! A computer is a cold and sterile machine and is the product of money and industrial capatalists! Yes, I am hypocrite, but that does not mean I am wrong. Besides, who isn't a fucking hypocrite? It is extremely difficult to explain.

Lastly, for all you "stock photo artists", I am glad you found something that you are good at, but I feel nothing when I see it. You can use a mouse and an air-brush tool to create a sunset, but can you draw it in sand with a stick?

Find my comments offensive? Great, I do not care. Visit my account with a rebuttal and we will debate.

Exuse the long post, Justin.

Justin, thank you for sharing your beautiful and 'genuine' work with others and sharing your god-given talent with such lesserthans. I am pious that you are surrounded by such mediocrity... here's a taste of my oft misunderstood humour: NOBEL PRIZES ALL AROUND!
:iconmoogvermont:
i agree merk is a very talented artist, who is obviously not on here for the social aspect. i admire his talent greatly and wish that i could be so talented with the mediums that he is. theres this word its 'genuine' that certain people embody. and others do not. file petey under 'other'

I'm surprised Kimi hasn't commented about trends and whatnot on here. That's a change.
